Little Dreamers Academy Childcare was created to provide enriching, quality care through play-based learning. Located in the heart of Woodbridge, our Centre offers a safe and welcoming environment in a brand-new state of the art facility specifically designed to enhance a child’s development.
We are passionate about caring and educating children in the early years of their life. Observing and participating in their ongoing development is, in our eyes, the most rewarding part of the job. Our goal is to provide a secure, loving environment that promotes optimal growth, sense of identity and self-worth while creating a lifelong love of learning.
The Little Dreamer Way
At Little Dreamers Academy, we view each individual child as capable of much more than expected, when provided the right opportunities when engaging in his or her world in creative ways. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia curriculum, we believe that every child is a competent and active participant in their learning, where teachers give the children the opportunity and tools to explore the world at their will – to be the captains of their own learning.
One principle we believe in at Little Dreamers Academy, is the importance of parent involvement and the role they play in their children’s education. We understand that parents are a child’s first teacher and therefore aim to involve parents in our programming, daily conversations and special events.
After parents and teachers, the environment in which children are exposed, has a large influence on how children learn and see the world around them. The space is specifically designed to be calming and soothing in nature so to allow for minimal distractions and offer optimal learning. We incorporate natural elements from outdoors so children can extend their outdoor learning to the classroom. These natural elements (eg. branches, pinecones etc.) will be used in an open-ended way with other materials in the classroom. These resources provide children with the opportunity to learn and develop their skills according to their interests and developmental needs. Our trained and highly qualified RECE’s use a theme based emergent curriculum centred on the interests and developmental goal of each child. Using the “How Does Learning Happen, Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years”, teachers incorporate hands-on experiences, indoor and outdoor play, special events and visitors from the community to enhance the overall learning experience for the children.
One of the best investments we can make in a child’s life is high-quality early education.

The wider the range of possibilities we offer children, the more intense will be their motivations and the richer their experiences.
