Our Misson
Little Dreamers Academy is dedicated to providing high quality education in a safe and healthy environment. Through our skilled educators, natural atmosphere, programming, and involvement of parents, we are dedicated to supporting each child’s interests and helping them achieve their full potential at their own pace. We believe that every child is different and therefore support them in discovering their potential through their natural development.

- Providing enrichment experiences that include music, yoga, science, language, nutrition and cooking
- Providing the children with a beautiful, calm and natural environment where they feel safe to explore their surroundings
- Ensuring open communication between parents and teachers by embracing “parents are a child’s first teacher”

LEARN MORE
Yoga – “How to Calm Little Minds” not only focuses on physical benefits – improving flexibility, strength and coordination – it is also used as a relaxation technique to help children self-regulate and manage their emotions through deep breathing.
Language – from baby sign language to Spanish, Italian and French, children will get the opportunity to engage and learn words, phrases and songs in other languages.
Cooking – in addition to it being a fun experience, allowing children in the kitchen builds self-confidence, encourages use of imagination, stimulates sensory experiences, and helps develop math and science skills.
We are always looking for more learning experiences. Let us know if you have a terrific idea for our programming!
Enrichment
Exposing children to a multitude of mediums, provokes a child’s interest and curiosity. Therefore, in addition to our regular programming which includes science, art, sensory, music and movement, literacy and gross motor, we have incorporated enrichment experiences to enhance each child’s development.

Reggio Principles
- Children are strong, powerful and capable. If a child chooses materials and activities of their choosing, it in turn creates more meaning and deepens their understanding.
- Beauty and art should be the groundwork for the educational environment. By creating a beautiful environment, we as educators, are ensuring that the classroom is a “living organism, a place of shared relationships among the children, the teachers, the parents, and a feeling of belonging in a world that is alive, welcoming, and authentic.”
- Families are vital partners in the learning process. Parents are free to actively participate in the children’s educational journey. Collaboration between teachers and parents promotes a child’s emotional security and a trusting atmosphere.
- Teachers are partners in learning. Teachers are partners, nurturers and guides who facilitate children’s learning. They provoke the child’s thoughts, ask open-ended questions, and develop the program that reflects the emerging interests of the children.
The Reggio Approach
The philosophy of Reggio Emilia offers a unique approach to nurturing and educating young children. It is guided by the belief that children are ‘capable, curious and competent’. We incorporate these values and gear our program towards kindergarten readiness. We believe that children learn best through play, and by providing many mediums, activities and opportunities, each child can be the ‘captain’ of their own learning

LEARN MORE
All elements of the classroom such as colour, furniture, toys, materials and plants, have been carefully chosen to create a natural environment to stimulate the child’s thinking, and provoke conversations between peers and teachers.
Environment
We strongly believe that children flourish in environments that are calm and soothing, free from over stimulation. The décor is centred around neutral and soft elements that promote peaceful and natural exploration of the environment. This encourages children to sense their world in their own time, and grow at a pace that is unique and natural to the individual child.
